The project:


This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.


Mace is currently providing programme management and looking for high-calibre experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.


The senior project manager is responsible for ensuring the project is managed safely, effectively, and efficiently as well as being completed on time and within budget in accordance with the objectives of client.


Manage and oversee all phases of construction projects from planning and design to execution and completion, client interface, and leading the technical quality of all project-related construction matters. From a façade bias as well as being a subject matter expert for the project in relation to the development and coordination of the facades.


Full ownership/responsibility - procurement, design, delivery including close out and commercial.

You’ll be responsible for:


  • Actively support and align work with the clients' strategic objectives and imperatives, and passionately promote the client’s mission and vision.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the LDC, architects, engineers, MC, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Actively interface and engage in the technical design process through the design stages - covering design works, technical services, surveys, studies, site investigations, reports, statutory approvals.
  • Supports the client's team at a strategic project delivery level in creating project briefs and RFI Documentation based on the client's needs and required result.
  • Collaborating with the design teams and lead design consultants (LDC) to maximise quality and value while minimising the risk profile for the project.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their expectations, ensuring that health and safety initiatives meet and exceed these expectations.
  • Develop, implement, and manage health and safety strategies to ensure a safe and healthy environment across the project.
  • Develop the projects departments strategy to establish and implement policies, standards and guidelines for modern methods of construction (MMC),
  • Contributes to the establishment of the project execution plan, health and safety plan, QA/QC, and other documents as required.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders.
  • Working collaboratively with the supply chain management and procurement teams to negotiate contracts with suppliers' subcontractors and vendors. Maintaining overall responsibility for facade construction contractor/subcontractor adherence to their respective contracts.
  • Working in collaboration with planning team contribute to an overarching construction programme for the project, including interfaces, stakeholders, procurement, commercial and design programmes.
  • Report and monitor construction project facade progress against the schedule and cost plan highlighting concerns providing recommendations and implementing any agreed mitigation.
  • Defining all project plan documents, including the scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans required on the project structural package. 
  • Assist the construction lead in the development and distribution of presentation, weekly, and monthly reporting on all aspects of the project.
  • Direct and supervise a team of construction professionals providing guidance and support.
  • Capitalise on extensive knowledge and experience of global innovation in the latest construction methods and materials to meet the client's sustainability targets.
  • In collaboration with the project team reviews supervision consultants' recommendation for extension of time or recovery plans to include contractor claims.
  • Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project.
  • Ensure resources are appropriate to meet current and future commitments and to maximise opportunities.
  • Contributing to the resolution of technical issues on projects and providing technical guidance to other team members, such as technicians, junior engineers, and graduates. 
  • Subject matter expert in facade elements of the project.  
  • In collaboration with the commercial teams ensure the submission of monthly invoice by the contractors develop and update the project cash flow forecast and preparing estimates for variations.

You’ll need to have:


  • A relevant degree qualification.
  • Chartership or pursuing a similar level of professional qualifications.
  • Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Extensive construction facade experience.
  • Working experience in the MEA region.
  • Influential skills - experience in leading or senior role on major construction projects.
