Job Description

Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Lead to oversee and drive business growth in Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the (GCC) region within the consumer health business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans, managing day-to-day operations, and leading the local team to achieve revenue growth, market expansion, and operational excellence. The role requires a strong leadership presence, deep knowledge of the consumer health sector, and a robust network within the region.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Strategic Leadership & Vision:
    • Lead the overall strategic direction and execution of the business in KSA & GCC, ensuring alignment with regional and global business objectives.
    • Develop and implement business strategies for market expansion, including identifying new opportunities, optimizing existing channels, and enhancing product offerings to drive growth.
    • Establish short- and long-term business goals, and lead the team to achieve these objectives in alignment with the broader company strategy.
  2. Market Expansion & Business Development:
    • Identify and capitalize on new market trends, distribution channels, and partnership opportunities within KSA & GCC to drive the growth of consumer health products.
    • Manage and optimize relationships with key stakeholders, distributors, and retailers in the region to increase product availability and market share.
    • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new product launches, ensuring a strong market presence and high customer engagement.
    • Oversee market entry strategies into new countries within the GCC, considering local regulations, consumer preferences, and competitive dynamics.
  3. P&L Management & Financial Oversight:
    • Take full ownership of the P&L for KSA & GCC, ensuring profitability and driving financial performance through effective cost management and revenue growth.
    • Monitor financial performance, analyze KPIs, and provide regular reports to senior leadership on the status of business performance, including sales, market share, and profitability.
    • Develop pricing strategies tailored to the local market, ensuring competitive positioning while maintaining profitability.
  4. Team Leadership & Talent Management:
    • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing commercial team.
    • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance excellence within the team, ensuring alignment with corporate values and business goals.
    • Mentor and coach team members, fostering their growth and development through training and leadership development programs.
    • Work closely with HR and regional leadership to identify hiring needs and ensure the team is adequately resourced.
  5. Regulatory Compliance & Operations Management:
    • Ensure full compliance with local regulatory requirements in KSA & GCC, including product registration, packaging, labeling, and advertising standards for consumer health products.
    • Collaborate with regulatory authorities to stay informed on policy changes and adapt strategies to ensure continued product availability and compliance.
    • Optimize supply chain and distribution processes to ensure operational efficiency and timely delivery of products across the region.
  6. Marketing & Brand Strategy:
    • Overlook localized marketing strategies, including digital marketing, in-store promotions, and customer engagement initiatives to increase brand visibility and drive product adoption.
    • Work with regional and global marketing teams to align messaging, branding, and campaigns to local consumer needs and preferences.
  7. Stakeholder Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
    • Liaise with senior leadership to ensure consistent communication regarding business performance, opportunities, and challenges in KSA & GCC.
  8. Customer Focus :
    • Lead efforts to understand the needs of local consumers, utilizing insights to guide product development and marketing strategies.
    • Ensure high standards of customer service and consumer engagement, driving satisfaction and loyalty across the region.

Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of experience in the consumer health, healthcare, or FMCG industries, with at least 4 years in a leadership role overseeing a commercial team/ Country.
    • Strong experience in Customer development & market expansion strategies.
    • Proven track record of successfully leading teams, driving operational excellence, and executing growth strategies in the region.
    • Deep knowledge of the consumer health market dynamics in the region.
    • Experience working with distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders in the region.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to build and manage relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
    • In-depth understanding of the consumer health sector, market trends, and competitor landscape in the region.
    • Fluency in both English and Arabic (preferred)
