Job Description
The Role:
The Associate Director for Civil Infrastructure will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of civil infrastructure projects across the UAE and KSA regions. This role requires a highly flexible individual with the ability to work across different locations as business needs evolve. The Associate Director will oversee the technical and managerial aspects of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in civil infrastructure, and a proactive approach to managing teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design, engineering, and construction of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, drainage systems, and other transportation infrastructure.
- Act as the key point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and contractors, ensuring that projects are delivered to client specifications and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, quality assurance procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project teams, ensuring that all staff are adequately trained and supported.
- Oversee the preparation of project proposals, budgets, schedules, and contracts, ensuring profitability and alignment with business goals.
- Monitor and control project progress, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other key partners across the UAE and KSA regions.
- Support business development activities by identifying new project opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in client meetings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in civil infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
- Strong experience in managing large-scale civil infrastructure projects, particularly in roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Proficient in civil engineering design software and project management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage complex projects from conception to completion.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and contracts effectively.
- Familiarity with local regulations and standards in the UAE and KSA.
- Fluent in English (Arabic language skills are a plus).
