ROLE SUMMARY


Contribute to the business success through the development & implementation of tactical marketing plans aligned to marketing strategy leading to a profitable and competitively positioned brand.


Under supervision of Marketing Head, strategize, develop and implement the marketing plan in relation to the brand, professional and successful working relationship with internal and external customers, manage the promotion, and positioning of the products in the relevant therapeutic portfolio with effective resource allocation, in order to maximise the potential of the AstraZeneca therapeutic portfolio.


What you’ll do


Communication & Promotion


  • Assists with development of marketing plans, which may include distribution channel solutions, sales activities, and promotional materials for specific therapeutic area or brand.
  • Assists with development of budgets and monitoring of expenses.
  • Tracks and analyzes brand/product and competitive performance and trends as guided by the direct manager.
  • Actively contribute in collaboration with the medical/Access team and/or Sales team with other supportive functions to ensure alignment with strategy
  • Develops materials for the sales force to support effective sales effort and educate sales representatives on company and competitor products.
  • Responsible for the implementation of promotional/communication strategies, plans and programs in support of brand strategies and objectives.
  • Ensure full compliance of material / activities with ethical and Code of Ethics (demonstrate and ensure active respect for values, business ethics, local laws, policies and marketing procedures)

Operational Brand Management & Customer Excellence


  • Is full accountable for building & driving the brand strategy by providing customer insights acquired during interactions with external and internal customers.
  • Participate in the development of the Business Action Plan in close collaboration with the Marketing Team
  • Ensure full implementation of the operational Business Action Plan in close collaboration with the key functional team members.
  • Keep the Business Action Plan updated, implement the plan to ensure that Brand objectives are realized, including revising the S&T to ensure full coverage /expansion of target list as per marketing strategy.
  • Lead the operational roll-out of the pre-agreed strategic and operational plan (campaign task force, monthly implementation meeting)
  • Identify potential new market insight and collaborate with Market Intelligence to leverage all important market data to refine action plans or to prioritize activities.
  • Develop and understand market research principles/sources/tools/methodology.
  • Work with local data to contribute to forecasting models.

Stakeholders’ management


  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key internal / external clients.
  • Leads Brand Team, developing and implementing plans for KEE development & marketing strategy implementation.
  • Cooperates with sales force, strengthening their capacity to implement business strategy. Though: client field visits with MSRs at regular intervals to gain insight on current and future marketing initiatives and ensure correct product information is delivered, providing training to sales team on the promotional materials and product strategy, addresses internal/external questions in regard to brand strategy and promotional materials)
  • Report on the status of implementation of the tactical plan to internal customers.
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Proactive assessment of brand performance, proposing needed actions to tap on opportunities, working without supervision, successfully addressing outstanding challenges of marketing strategy implementation.

  • Maintains highest ethical standards and work in a spirit of AstraZeneca Code of Ethics, following rules & norms set by corporate policies.
  • Ensures that all conducted activities are done in accordance with local legislation and corporate standards.
  • Timely reports (as per respective procedures): health/environment/wellbeing related accidents; adverse events that you became aware about; change in status of your Conflict of Interest.

Essential for the role


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years sales experience.
  • New launches marketing experience is a plus.
  • Oncology / Specialty experience is a must.
  • Excellent Interpersonal, organizational, Cross-functional cooperation and projects management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to network, build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and work cross-functionally.
  • Financial business acumen.
  • Strong expertise in market analysis, deep market insights mining.
  • Effectiveness and Productivity - ability to maximize the use of resources.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability – makes effective decisions and achieves desired results in the midst of major changes in responsibilities, work processes, organizational culture, or work environment.
  • Proven competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, strong presentation skills

  • Specialty medicines with complex ecosystems (patients, healthcare providers, systems, payer)
  • Patient centricity - being passionate about really understanding patients, their attitudes to health, and who they interact with/are influenced by along the patient journey – to ensure patient needs are at the heart of decision-making.
  • Translate information into actionable insight - rigorously analysing and synthesising multiple sources of information to uncover powerful new insights that can be applied to create business advantage, both now and in the future
  • Execute with brilliance - delivering compelling experiences that help us create stronger connections with target audiences, rigorously reviewing performance and seizing opportunities to optimise in real-time, and to achieve greater effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Engage with Broader organization - understanding broad business operations and optimising relationships with cross-functional teams to inspire and mobilise them behind the experience plan. Applying sound commercial acumen to deliver patient benefit and optimal financial return.
