Job Description
The organization is a flagship gigaproject under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, aiming to create a world-class entertainment, cultural and lifestyle destination. As a multibillion-dollar project, it will encompass vast infrastructure development, hospitality, retail and service sectors, which requires effective and large scale management of supplier relationships and supply chain risks.
The Assistant Manager Manager – Supply Chain Risk is responsible for supporting the org’s SRM & SCR team on supply chain risk management activities. This comprises identifying key risks across the supply chain for all procurement categories within the org and driving initiatives to mitigate the risks.
1. Supply Chain Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain, and assess the likelihood and impact of the risks using risk assessment frameworks.
- Assess the org’s suppliers on the identified risk factors to create supplier risk profiles and a risk management plan.
- Support implementation of mitigation strategies and contingency plans to manage the identified risks and ensure business continuity.
- Monitor external factors, such as regulatory changes, natural disasters, or market trends, that could disrupt the supply chain.
2. Internal Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collate information from all business teams on their supply chain needs, their supplier’s risk performance to consolidate the org’s overall supply chain dependencies.
- Support awareness sessions for the business teams to learn how to report supplier / supply chain risks to the SRM/SCR team, and to ensure business continuity in case of supply chain disruptions.
3. Team Management, Learning & Development
- Oversee and support junior team members, ensuring professional growth through mentorship.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the SRM & SCR Team.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in Supplier Relationship Management & Supply Chain roles, ideally in large-scale projects such as construction, real estate, or urban development.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Law, Finance, Business, or related fields. MBA and/or other advanced degrees preferred.
- Preferred: Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)
- Experience with KSA regulatory requirements and familiarity with Vision 2030 goals is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and address risks effectively.
- Proven track record of working in cross-collaborative environments and ensuring differing goals and needs align with overarching organizational strategy.
- Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in Arabic highly desirable.
- Understanding of the local cultural and business landscape in Saudi Arabia through work experience in the region preferred.
