We are seeking a talented and ambitious Assistant Manager Housekeepingto join our team at the First Vignette Collection in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Carliton Almoaibed Hotel). This role requires someone with a passion for Housekeeping , excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in monitoring and controlling departmental costs.
Aid in preparing the departmental budget.
Supervise outside contracts to ensure compliance.
Maintain proper inventory levels and manage costs per room for supplies and labor.
People Management
Direct work assignments for both supervisory and non-supervisory personnel.
Establish and maintain effective employee relations.
Assist the Executive Housekeeper with personnel matters, including interviewing and counseling.
Identify training needs and develop training sessions.
Provide mentoring, coaching, and feedback to enhance team performance.
Educate staff on compliance with laws and safety regulations, ensuring they have the necessary tools and equipment.
Interact with guests and external parties such as suppliers and contractors.
Collaborate with other department heads as needed.
Guest Experience
Work closely with the Laundry, Engineering, and Front Office Departments, ensuring open communication.
Monitor housekeeping staff to ensure priority guests receive special attention.
Regularly inspect guest and public areas for cleanliness and maintenance.
Oversee housekeeping tasks related to lost and found, key control, and security procedures.
Maintain high standards of dress, hygiene, and conduct among housekeeping personnel.
Address guest complaints promptly and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Responsible Business Practices
Understand and adhere to policies regarding health, hygiene, and fire safety.
Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
Record all security incidents and accidents promptly.
Promote “Green” initiatives (e.g., recycling, water and energy conservation).
Coordinate special projects such as room inventories and cleaning.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of room types, layouts, and facilities.
Schedule routine inspections of all housekeeping areas.
Be prepared to implement emergency procedures, including during fires or power failures.
What we need from you:
High School Diploma / secondary education / equivalent
Four years' managing housekeeping/laundry experience preferably in a hotel of similar size.
Must be fluent in English language and other languages preferred
