About the Role:
As an Architect for the airport project, you will play a crucial role in designing, planning, and overseeing the development of airport facilities, ensuring they meet the highest standards of functionality, safety, and aesthetics. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating cutting-edge airport infrastructures that provide an exceptional travel experience for passengers and efficient operations for airport authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Define project objectives, scope, and goals in consultation with the client and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards for airport design and construction.
- Collaborate with architectural and engineering teams to review and approve design plans.
- Ensure that airport facilities are designed for efficiency, safety, and passenger comfort.
- Monitor design changes and ensure they align with project objectives and budget constraints.
- Establish and manage the project budget, tracking expenses and forecasting costs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest value engineering options.
- Prepare and review cost estimates for design changes and project variations.
- Develop and maintain a project schedule, ensuring that construction phases are sequenced appropriately.
- Monitor progress against the schedule and identify potential delays or issues.
- Implement strategies to keep the project on track and within the planned timeline.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction and design meet specified standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with design documents and specifications.
- Address and resolve any quality issues that may arise during construction.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the project.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Monitor and report on the status of identified risks throughout the project's lifecycle.
- Assist in the selection of contractors and subcontractors.
- Review and evaluate construction contracts and change orders.
- Ensure that all parties adhere to contractual obligations.
- Facilitate effective communication between project teams, stakeholders, and clients.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to the client and relevant authorities.
- Address and resolve conflicts or issues that may arise among project stakeholders.
- Ensure that the project complies with all local, state, and federal regulations and permits.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
- Promote sustainable and environmentally friendly design and construction practices.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
- Oversee safety measures and protocols on the construction site.
- Collaborate with safety experts to develop and implement safety plans.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including drawings, reports, and correspondence.
- Prepare regular progress reports and performance evaluations for the client.
- Facilitate the project's closeout process, including inspections, punch lists, and final approvals.
- Ensure a smooth transition for the client by facilitating the handover of the completed airport facilities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and best practices.
- Implement lessons learned from previous projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or a related field.
- Professional licensure as an Architect is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of experience required.
- Proven experience as an Architect on airport projects or large-scale infrastructure projects.
