Role Summary
The Analyst, Logistics Planning is responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of logistics strategies and processes for Neom projects. The role involves analyzing supply chain data, formulating materials flow, undertaking cost benefit analysis, and develop strategies and plans for material and manpower fulfilment. As an Analyst,you will be responsible for the collection of logistics demand data, manpower forecasting and ensuring that reports are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards. The Logistics Planning Analyst works closely with internal project teams, internal division teams and Neom project management teams and package leads to obtain the required data and ensure pro-active communication to optimize the logistics planning. This role will require strong analytical skills, and you will be required to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Logistics Planning & Coordination:
Develop and implement comprehensive logistics plans that ensure the timely delivery of materials and manpower to the construction site.
Coordinate with internal teams and external NEOM packages and project management teams to align on data quality, assumptions and outputs
Leverage analytics to turn data into actionable insights, to make efficient and effective decisions.
Supply Chain Management:
Analyze and forecast material needs based on the project timeline and resource requirements.
Identify risks and develop contingency plans to avoid construction logistics and supply chain disruptions.
Project Scheduling & Resource Optimization:
Collaborate with the project management team to align logistics activities with the project schedule, through excel and Primavera P6
Support resource allocation by ensuring materials and resources are available as per construction schedules.
Optimize delivery routes, transportation costs, and storage solutions to increase project cost-effectiveness.
Basic use of Primavera P6 to assess project programs, logistics and project management processes, controls, and project risk.
Data Analysis:
Collect and analyze data on logistics activities, transportation costs, and material usage to recommend improvements.
Build structures and systems that analyze construction logistics demand data
Financial modelling and planning of logistics activities and assets.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and increased operational efficiency.
Reporting:
Creating Excel, Powerpoint and Word documents to appropriately communicate the analysis to multiple stakeholders.
Contribute to the controls and performance team in forming strategic decisions that align with the organization’s goals.
Educational Qualifications & Certifications:
(Required) Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Construction/Project Management, or a related field.
(Preferred) MBA in Supply Chain Management, Strategy or a related field.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in Consulting or logistics planning, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sector.
Experience in developing investment business cases and cost benefit analysis
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and achieve objectives
Working Conditions:
On-site in Neom, Saudi Arabia project offices
Flexibility in working hours to meet project deadlines and respond to logistics challenges.
