Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for managing supplier accounts, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all payments, and maintaining precise financial records in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify supplier invoices, ensuring they match purchase orders and contracts.
- Enter invoices into the accounting system while ensuring data accuracy.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and verify supplier balances.
- Track supplier payments and schedule them.
- Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to resolve discrepancies or disputes.
- Generate periodic reports on accounts payable and expense analysis.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SOCPA membership.
