Job Duties and Qualifications
Responsible for supervision of security personnel assigned to specific shift. Stands guard or walks premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of the rules. Patrols assigned area or sits or stands at post to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules; gives directions to visitors or employees and answers questions relative to services of establishment; enforces security rules and regulations; reports irregular activities. Advises security personnel of assigned work activities and trains less experienced security personnel. Makes recommendations for hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and performance appraisal. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years related experience in private or municipal security.
