Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead our team of technicians and ensure the smooth operation of our workshop, where heavy equipment maintenance and repairs are carried out. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing workshops that handle heavy machinery, a deep understanding of equipment repair processes, and the ability to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Workshop Manager, preferably in heavy equipment or machinery maintenance.

Strong technical knowledge of heavy machinery and diesel engines, including troubleshooting and repair skills.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage budgets, track expenses, and maintain cost control over workshop operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of workshop safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet when issues arise.
  • Proficiency in using workshop management software or systems for tracking repairs, inventory, and scheduling.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments and clients.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Relevant technical certifications in mechanical or diesel engineering (preferred).
