Job Description

Operations Oversight:

Manages the daily Service operations of the workshop, including scheduling technician time for productivity & efficiency, organizing workflow, and ensuring timely equipment maintenance etc.

Personnel Management:

Supervises workshop staff, train and coach new team members, and manages shift schedules.

Budget Management:

Responsible for planning parts supplies to the workshop, new equipment purchases, monitoring operational costs, and enhancing financial efficiency.

Safety and Quality:

Ensures high standards of Health, Safety and Environment within the workplace


Skills

  • Overseeing the inspection and testing of vehicles to ensure the efficiency and functionality of all systems
  • Establishing and implementing operational procedures and policies in the workshop
  • Planning and coordinating all workshop activities, including scheduling appointments and allocating tasks to technicians
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe and efficient workshop environment
  • Managing the workshop budget, ensuring quality, and controlling costs
  • Training staff on new technology or machinery, workshop procedures, and safety protocols
  • Communicating with clients about vehicle problems, maintenance plans, and repair options
  • Managing inventory of tools, parts and equipment, and ordering new supplies as needed
  • Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction by handling customer complaints promptly and professionally
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry developments and trends
