We are looking for a WHP Jacket Site Lifting Specialist for one of our clients with the following details: 

Start date: 01-JAN-2025

End Date: 31-DEC-2026

Location: Doha, Qatar / Qingdao, China

Work status: Resident, Single

ACTIVITIES

• Responsible for overseeing Lifting activities executed by Contractor as required in any worksites.
• Provide expertise in daily handling & lifting activities including Categorization of lifts.
• Perform Risk assessment and hazard identification.
• Assist Company CPLO in technical review of lifting / skidding operations.
• Perform inspection for all lifting equipment & lifting gears / appliances,
• Perform dedicated lifting toolbox talks & post-job debriefs.
• Periodic review of generic lift plans
• Ensures all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company QHSE policies, regulations, and standards. And promote safe practice referring to COMPANY HSE police and international standard,
• Review & approve Lifting plan for complex and complicated lifts.
• Provide lifting and handling expertise advice to all COMPANY HSE team at yards to raise their awareness of monitoring/observing any hazard for all kind of routine and non-routine lifts.
• To participate as key person in internal audits of the lifting operations, participates in lifting operations incident, investigation and analyses.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 10 years in the lifting & handling industry at supervisory level
• Experienced in Oil & Gas Industry and its lifting requirement.
• Topsides & Jackets construction experience is a must.
• Holding Technical or engineering qualifications such as OPITO / LEEA / EAL / CPA/ LOLER, etc.
• Broad and extensive knowledge in handling & lifting appliance & operations.
• Good Knowledge of International standards such as: BS7121-1 & 3 / BS EN 14439:2006 / ASME B30, ISO 53.020
• Worked in onshore & offshore operations with working profile such as: Lifting & Rigger Foreman or Supervisor or Lead Supervisor or Lifting Superintendent
• Ability of performing risk assessment in relation to health, safety & environment
• Full time Supervising the critical lifts.
• Experience in training and coaching is preferred.
• Good English level mandatory,
• Mandarin language is an advantage,
• Be familiar with Document Control Software.
