TS Technical Architect - Network

About your Job:
In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, designing, implementing, securing and maintaining network infrastructure for Qatar Airways’ hybrid cloud environment, which span across multiple cloud platforms including Azure & GCP, and private cloud datacentres. This role will be instrumental in ensuring well-architected design for deployment in the view of security and maximum availability, maintaining a highly resilient, secure, and efficient network infrastructure to support Qatar Airways’ hybrid cloud, streamlining the network operations, optimization of the cost, performance, and providing critical pro-active and re-active support to maintain the uptime of the dependant business services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design, plan, and implement the network architecture for hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments, ensuring seamless connectivity and data flow across Azure, GCP, private cloud, and on-premises data centres.
  
• Implement robust security measures, including firewall configurations and access controls using Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and F5 technologies to protect data and applications in multi-cloud environment.
  
• Continuously optimize network performance and scalability to maintain efficient data transfer, low latency, and support business growth.
  
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for the multi-cloud network to ensure data continuity and network availability in case of outages or disasters.
  
• Monitor and manage network-related costs across multiple cloud providers and private cloud, optimizing resource allocation to control cost.
  
• Ensure that the network infrastructure complies with industry regulations and Qatar Airways security standards, addressing requirements specific to Azure, GCP, and private cloud environments.
  
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including cloud platform architects, application architects, developers, system administrators, and cybersecurity experts, to achieve seamless multi-cloud operations, and to support business projects.
  
• Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations, design document, policies, and best practices for the diverse cloud and private cloud environments. 
  
• Continuously monitor network performance, analyze data, and implement improvements as necessary to maintain optimal service levels across Azure, GCP, private cloud, and on-premise networks.
  
• Evaluate, select, and manage network hardware, software, and service providers to ensure they align with the needs of the network infrastructure aligned with business needs.
  
• Anticipate future network requirements and plan for resource scaling to accommodate growing demands in a multi-cloud environment.
  
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in network and cloud technologies and maintain relevant certifications to ensure the network infrastructure remains cutting-edge.
  
• 24/7 support for on-call support for network related incidents and issues as needed.
  

About You: 
You must have a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Sciences or an equivalent certification, as well as a minimum of 15 years of IT experience, including at least the last seven years in design, development, and implementation of network infrastructure projects. We are looking for a mature and self-motivated individual with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities who is willing to work in a fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere of 24x7 IT support.
Qualifications / Skills:

• Certification in Azure, GCP and private cloud technologies such as CCIE Enterprise, CCSA, Fortinet NSE 4, Palo Alto PCNSA will be added advantage
  
• Proven experience in designing and managing Azure or GCP and Private cloud / Datacentre infrastructure including NVA, VNET, UDR, Subnets management, Security groups, NSG/ASG, VPC, Expressroute, VPN Gateway management, micro segmentation, and other network related services.
  
• Proven experience in managing network connectivity solution such as MPLS, ExpressRoute, MPLS-VPN’s, VRF’s, BGP community, etc.
  
• Strong hands-on experience in implementation of Cisco, Checkpoint, FortiGate, Palo Alto and F5 network and security solutions.
  
• Expert level knowledge & experience in managing firewall products in private cloud and public cloud infrastructure such as Cisco (ASA, FTD), Checkpoint, FortiGate, Palo Alto. 
  
• Expert level knowledge & experience in managing in LTM, APM and GSLB services, preferably F5 products.
  
• Expert level knowledge in wired and wireless network including Cisco Nexus switches & routers, ACI (VxLAN, EPG, Service Contracts), NAC / ISE, Wireless technology from Aruba & Cisco, 
  
• Expert level knowledge and experience in IPSec site-to-site VPNs, Bandwidth management solutions and network security infrastructure.
  
• Expert level knowledge in managing network micro-segmentation, preferably Cisco ACI app centric and network centric deployment including VXLAN, EPG and contracts skills.
  
• Hands-on experience in managing Wireless network of Aruba and Cisco technologies.
  
• Strong knowledge on routing, switching & Cisco ACI infrastructure including network routing protocols (OSPF, BGP etc.)
  
• Working experience in deploying and managing large enterprise network & security infrastructure.
  
• Strong knowledge with network automation tools like ansible, terraform and scripting languages for network provisioning, scaling and maintenance over IaC based network management will be preferred.
  
• Excellent problem solving and communications skills.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative environment.
  
• ITILv3 certification preferred
