Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking dynamic and experienced Public Transport Planners and Engineers to join our team. The successful candidates will be involved in developing public transportation systems and master plans. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, technical expertise, and a passion for sustainable transport solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on current public transport systems.
  • Develop strategic plans for new transport routes, schedules, and services.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of transport infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, stakeholders, and the community to ensure alignment and support.
  • Utilize modelling software and other tools to forecast and optimize transport performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented transport solutions.
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and proposals for internal and external audiences.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in public transportation.


Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in transportation planning or engineering.
  • Must have experience in working with engineering consultants or government agencies.
  • Understanding of transport modelling software (VISUM and VISSIM).
  • Middle East or GCC experience, preferred.
  • Arabic speaker, preferred.
  • Must be excellent in report development and writing.
  • Experience in working on large-scale transportation projects.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to sustainability and innovative transport solutions.
