The ideal candidate should have a strong background in laboratory management and quality assurance.
Responsibilities include updating and managing technology, clarifying technical queries, identifying minimum stock requirements, ensuring ISO/IEC 17025 standards, arranging calibration of laboratory instruments, monitoring equipment performance, updating analysis work instructions, and coordinating test operations.
The ideal candidate should also be a referee for non-conformance investigations and corrective actions, commission new laboratory instruments, investigate and troubleshoot instrument issues, train laboratory technicians, ensure accurate testing, analyse and interpret oil analysis results, prepare mitigation plans, and report daily activities.
Desired qualifications include a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or master's degree in chemistry.
10 years of experience in a quality assurance or testing laboratory, in-depth knowledge of transformer oil chemistry and analysis, strong supervision and management skills.
Knowledge of international standards related to transformer oil interpretations, registered membership in CIGRE and/or IEEE, experience in lubrication oil analysis and interpretation, and knowledge of offline and online electrical testing on high-voltage systems will be added advantage
