About the role:


Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Resource Planning and Optimization team as a Training Specialist to be based in Doha, Qatar.


As a Training Specialist, you will be responsible for leading short- & long-term analysis and performance monitoring functions within Crew Training Planning and Qualifications Department. In this role, you will principally work to measure and articulate the performance of training planning team against a set of KPI’s to key stakeholders.


Specific responsibilities for the role include:


  • Lead and monitor key crew training planning and qualification transformation projects and progress by tracking the activities, highlighting problems, publishing progress reports and recommending actions to the management.
  • Conduct consistent, accurate and focused studies on flight and cabin crew training processes and data, to determine trends and advise on good decision-making.
  • Provide analysis on training resources availability and requirements by implementing new improved statistical methods for continuous monitoring and optimum utilization.
  • Responsible for the production and distribution of daily, weekly and monthly reporting to business units.
  • Design and develop strategic reporting tools and templates, using statistical and analytical applications to enhance existing business processes and achieve operational excellence through continuous improvement.
  • Perform business analysis activities on crew documents and qualification expires, crew trainings planned/completed, training progress and training disruptions on behalf of Crew Training Planning, thus identifying training and planning requirements and solutions to business problems.
  • Meet with systems owners, and end users to fully understand department business processes, challenges, and IT needs in order to effectively translate business requirements into IT specifications.
  • Conduct periodic assessment and maintenance of data and reports in TOPS to ensure that the most accurate information is availed to support accurate reporting.
Qualifications

About you


The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:


  • Relevant College or University qualification to a minimum Bachelor’s level with a minimum of 5 years job-related experience.
  • Experience in Manpower planning and previous work experience in reporting and analysis preferred.
  • Strong analytical background, with history of maximizing profitability and productivity.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrable a high level of attention to detail, and ability to consistently provide reports/analysis with a very high level of accuracy.
  • Have an aptitude for being able to arrive at decisions based on the results of data analysis, as well feedback acquired from various different stakeholders.
  • Proven initiative to develop creative and effective reports.
  • Ability to analyze data from different sources and arrive at relevant conclusions.
  • Ability to manage changing and multiple priorities: must be able to manage different assignments simultaneously and have the ability to constantly prioritize and re-prioritize workloads.
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) skills.
  • Excellent English communication (written and spoken) and presentation skills.
