Job Description

Job Summary

The Technical and Design Manager oversees and manages the integration of technical aspects and design elements in projects, ensuring their alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards. This role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, coordinating design processes, and providing technical guidance to achieve high-quality and innovative outcomes. Additionally, the Technical and Design Manager is responsible for fostering collaboration among various stakeholders, driving continuous improvement in design practices, and maintaining a focus on cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability throughout the project lifecycle.




Job Responsibilities 1

Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams of designers, engineers, and technical staff to ensure cohesive project execution.


Oversee the integration of design concepts with technical requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.


Develop and implement design strategies and methodologies to achieve project objectives while maintaining quality and efficiency.


Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex design and technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle.


Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to establish project requirements and expectations.


Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely delivery of design solutions within budgetary constraints.


Review and approve design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, to ensure accuracy and completeness.


Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the design team, encouraging creative problem-solving and exploration of new technologies.


Act as a primary point of contact for technical inquiries and design-related matters, addressing stakeholder concerns and facilitating effective communication.


Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design and technical fields, integrating new knowledge and methodologies into project workflows.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Comprehensive understanding of design principles, technical requirements, and industry standards across various disciplines.


Proficiency in project management methodologies, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.


Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders.


Expertise in design software and tools relevant to the industry, facilitating efficient project execution and collaboration.


Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and devise innovative solutions to optimize project outcomes.


ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.




Job Experience

Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus
