About the role:


Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Technical Engineering team as a Tech Cell Engineer Level I.


The Tech Cell Engineer Level I will perform review and provide rectification recommendation for defects related to Heavy Maintenance in-coming aircrafts under their authority and perform evaluation of critical / first time tasks of C-Check packages in consultation with Production Planning / Engineering team.


Specific responsibilities for the role include:


  • Perform evaluation and Troubleshooting of defects under his authority as Tech Cell Engineer Level I to support the Heavy Maintenance Production team for the defect rectification during the C-Check.
  • Identify Aircraft systems related critical tasks and review first time tasks / modifications in the Aircraft C-Check work package at pre-input level to decide the estimated Man hours and turnaround time (TAT) in consultation with Tech Cell Engineer Level II.
  • Prepare a detailed work scope for the C-Check in-coming aircrafts defects and provide feedback on defect rectification to production team for the aircraft parts and tools requirements / availability.
  • Support in the evaluation of the Deferred Defects (DDs), Troubleshooting Recommendations (TSRs) and other critical tasks as requested from the external third parties (Line / Light Maintenance and Qatar Executive etc.) by providing feedback to Tech Cell Engineer Level II.
  • Co-ordinate with other support sections to arrange the required resources (parts, materials and tools / equipment) prior to work acceptance for timely rectification of in-coming aircraft defects.
  • Consult with the Production Planning (Airbus and Boeing) and Engineering (ENGG) for approved ENGG Documents and Parts/Tools availability for the first-time tasks / modifications.
  • Monitor the aircrafts released from the c-check and analyze the defects noted during the warranty period to support the PCAM (Post C-Check Aircraft Monitoring) reports.
  • Recommend feedback on the Aircraft system difficulties and events affecting previous Check Inputs to the Tech Cell Engineer Level II for the onward briefing to the Bay Managers for any potential risk in the up-coming input.

Qualifications

About you


The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualification


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 4 years of job-related experience.
  • Certifying experience in Production as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (EN.01) and holds a company authorization of a minimum two Qatar Airways Fleet Type Ratings.
  • Any additional courses related to Aircraft Maintenance Planning, LEAN Fundamentals, and Safety Management System will be highly desirable.
  • General Knowledge of Aircraft Systems, Maintenance Environment constraints.
  • Good knowledge of aircraft maintenance data.
  • Knowledge of Part M and Part-145 Regulations and functions.
  • Project management and execution.
  • Strong analytical skills to handle complex operational situations.
  • Good background in using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Good technical report writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skill (speak/read/write) in English.
