Job Purpose
We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual who understands Retail Industry. As a Systems Engineer you will be part of the application support team, providing Level 1 and Level 2 support to business-critical applications and related hardware peripheral devices.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Work with Project Lead, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors in handling IT services requests related to retail applications, raised by business users
- Liaise with internal stakeholders/vendors for addressing and resolving application related issues.
- Ensure that all application software runs with no output errors, no response time problems and functioning according to specifications.
- Prepare a monthly report regarding the systems and issues related to smooth operation of system applications.
- Ensure IT daily / monthly / quarterly checklist & jobs are followed and completed
- Act as the primary contact for all business support related requests/queries. Respond to all users request and provide them with adequate support as per the defined SLA.
- Perform duties assigned by Project Manager/ Project Lead
- Comply to IT Software Governance standards and ensure compliance.
Qualifications
About You
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree qualified in related disciplines such as Computer Science, IT, Mathematics or Engineering, with at least 6+ years’ experience in IT Infrastructure support and Minimum 3+ years in retail domain.
- Technical experience required for the role
- Good knowledge about F&B and Retail Point of Sale (POS) and associated peripherals.
- Hands on experience in troubleshooting Windows Operating System
- Experience in Enterprise level network/ wireless setups, Segregation of data VLANs and inter VLAN communication, basics of switching, routing and IP networks.
- Experience in monitoring production applications, identifying system issues, developing corrective and preventive solutions in a timely, effective manner
- Experience in setting up point of sale systems in a distributed architecture

- Troubleshoot application problems and work with relevant stakeholders for establishing a solution or workaround.
- Certifications in relevant technical domains will be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
