General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental assessments to identify the environmental impact of various activities and operations.
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies and action plans that align with the organization's or community's goals.
- Ensure that sustainability initiatives comply with local, national, and international environmental laws and regulations.
- Promote energy efficiency, resource conservation, waste reduction, and sustainable sourcing within an organization or community.
- Advise on the adoption of renewable energy sources and eco-friendly technologies to reduce the carbon footprint.
- Develop waste reduction and recycling programs to minimize waste and promote responsible disposal.
- Advise on sustainable building and infrastructure design, green certifications, and sustainable construction practices.
- Promote sustainable transportation solutions, such as public transit, biking infrastructure, and electric vehicles.
- Advocate for corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and ethical business practices.
- Engage with stakeholders and the local community to gather input and build support for sustainability projects.
- Prepare sustainability reports that track progress, performance metrics, and achievements toward sustainability goals.
- Provide training and educational resources to employees, community members, and stakeholders to increase awareness and understanding of sustainability principles.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the client and the line manager.
Skills
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering.
- 15 + years of experience working on large scale projects.
- Ideally, a combination of Development experience and more traditional PMO experience.
- LEED APBD+C
- Must hold GSAS D&B CGP
- Has experience with sustainable building design and construction projects
- Must have led and managed LEED and GSAS Projects.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
