Job Description

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental assessments to identify the environmental impact of various activities and operations.
  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies and action plans that align with the organization's or community's goals.
  • Ensure that sustainability initiatives comply with local, national, and international environmental laws and regulations.
  • Promote energy efficiency, resource conservation, waste reduction, and sustainable sourcing within an organization or community.
  • Advise on the adoption of renewable energy sources and eco-friendly technologies to reduce the carbon footprint.
  • Develop waste reduction and recycling programs to minimize waste and promote responsible disposal.
  • Advise on sustainable building and infrastructure design, green certifications, and sustainable construction practices.
  • Promote sustainable transportation solutions, such as public transit, biking infrastructure, and electric vehicles.
  • Advocate for corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and ethical business practices.
  • Engage with stakeholders and the local community to gather input and build support for sustainability projects.
  • Prepare sustainability reports that track progress, performance metrics, and achievements toward sustainability goals.
  • Provide training and educational resources to employees, community members, and stakeholders to increase awareness and understanding of sustainability principles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the client and the line manager.
