Subject Matter Expert - Integrated Controller Working Position


We have an opportunity for a Subject Matter Expert- Integrated Controller Working Position to join us at Honeywell inQatar.


As a Subject Matter Expert, the candidate is responsible for Engineered Solution, Design as well as field implementation of ICWP Projects in Qatar. With limited supervision, the ambitious and proactive Subject Matter Expert will participate in technical requirements capturing with customer, Design, Engineering, Configuration, Testing & Commissioning of ICWP/ITWP, A-SMGCS, ATM, and other related technologies in the Airports projects. You will work in a collaborative and customer exposed environment to maintain high operational availability of the network and ensure the availability and security of Honeywell Airport technology applications and data.


Key responsibilities


· The SME shall support the Project Manager in execution of all tasks related to the project and shall take a leading role in the system design phase.


· He will have top-to-bottom accountability for engineered solution, design, as well as field implementation of the Project in Qatar.


· The SME shall conduct regular progress review meetings with customer, 3rd party stakeholders and internal stakeholders.


· The SME is responsible for preparation of project related technical documents for client submissions and monitor the progress of the project by collecting site information, accessing the impact of potential delays or technical issues from various Interface stakeholders and presenting the assessment to Project Manager.


· The SME is responsible for co-ordinating all activities related to System integration from various 3rd party systems to be interfaced with Honeywell ICWP.


· Work with customer to define Technical Requirements Specifications, evaluate the overall solution (Definition& Design) to ensure compliance with operational requirements.


· Evaluate ICD’s proposed by 3rd party system providers to align with customer expectations , system design and contractual requirements.


· Support Project Manager with impacts of variations and defend the change orders.


· Provide first-line support during ORAT & defect liability period.


· Provide Advanced Engineering & Application Management Support for the day to day operation of AGLCMS & Level 5 Advanced Surface Movement & Guidance Control System.


· He shall manage key targeted metrics e.g. over/under utilization, average engineering cost as well as ensure delivery excellence, through standardization on best practice.


· He shall work in close partnership with the R&D team in the definition of project requirements & design and drive engagements with ICAO, FAA, EASA, IEC and other standards bodies as Honeywell representative to contribute on specifications and standards.


· Cycle time reduction by increasing productivity, Value Engineering & Ensure utilization of Engineering Resources to 100%


· Redefining and identifying process improvements and ensuring operational excellence in all areas for the Honeywell Global Airports Business (HAB).


· Preparation of Method of statements for the activities required to carry out Installation, Testing and Commissioning


· Preparation of standard operating procedures of ICWP, A-SMGCS, ATM systems for installation works


· Establish & Manage onsite Software Configuration Management System.


· Ensure Proper Project Documentation.


Key skills and qualifications


· B.tech/B.E degree in Computer science / Information Technology/ Electronics and proven operations experience in AGLCMS Project delivery / Engineering role.


· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supervision medium to large project experience


· Experience of working within the Airports / Air-side Solutions market


· Strong knowledge of ASMGCS, ATM system, Airport operations, ATC systems and planning skills


· Excellent team and communication skills, (verbal and written), negotiation and interpersonal skill
