The Student Experience Officer plays a key role in enhancing student engagement, retention, and overall satisfaction at Oryx Universal College. The role focuses on developing and implementing initiatives that support student welfare, extracurricular activities, and academic success, ensuring a positive and enriching student journey.
Develop and implement programs that enhance the student experience, including orientation, academic advising, and support services.
Serve as a point of contact for student concerns, ensuring timely resolution of issues related to academic and non-academic matters.
Collaborate with student organizations and leadership groups to facilitate engagement and co-curricular activities.
Organize student feedback mechanisms, such as surveys and focus groups, to assess student satisfaction and areas for improvement.
Plan and execute student-centered events, including cultural, academic, and social activities.
Work with internal departments to support student-led initiatives and extracurricular programs.
Coordinate workshops and seminars that contribute to student personal and professional development.
Provide guidance and support for students facing personal, academic, or social challenges.
Ensure students are aware of available counseling, mentorship, and well-being resources.
Assist in implementing policies that promote inclusivity, diversity, and a safe learning environment.
Support the Academic Registry in ensuring students receive timely academic guidance and administrative assistance.
Assist with student records management, tracking student engagement, and generating reports for institutional improvement.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to improve student retention strategies.
A bachelor’s degree in education, student affairs, social sciences, or a related field.
Experience in student services, academic administration, or a related area in higher education is preferred.
Strong understanding of student engagement principles and best practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.
Strong organisational and event planning abilities.
Problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive student concerns with discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and student information systems.
