Job Description
Steward (Seasonal)
A Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dishwashing areas, and food service areas. This role ensures that kitchen & F&B have clean dishes, utensils, and equipment while adhering to food safety standards.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Keep kitchen workstations, floors, and food prep areas clean.
- Ensure garbage disposal and waste management are handled efficiently.
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, ovens, grills, and storage areas.
- Ensure proper storage of kitchen tools and utensils.
- Report any damaged or malfunctioning kitchen equipment to the supervisor.
- Restock plates, glassware, and cutlery for chefs and servers.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of kitchen supplies.
- Keep track of cleaning supplies and chemicals, informing management of restocking needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in stewarding (Minimum 2-3 years).
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and hygiene standards.
- Physical stamina (standing for long hours, lifting heavy kitchen equipment).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
