SR. PIPING DESIGNER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

We are seeking an experienced Piping Designer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering, specifically within the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in designing piping layouts and systems for midstream and downstream projects. This role offers an opportunity to work on challenging projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop detailed piping designs and layouts based on project specifications, industry standards (e.g., ASME, API), and client requirements.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, or similar tools) to produce accurate piping plans, isometrics, and support drawings.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure design integrity, functionality, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct and participate in design reviews to ensure that piping designs meet project objectives and adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Perform piping stress analysis and calculations using software tools or manual methods to ensure system integrity and reliability.
• Prepare material take-offs, specifications, and technical documentation for procurement and construction phases.

• Provide technical support during the construction, installation, and commissioning of piping systems, including resolving design-related issues and coordinating with field personnel.
  KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Design, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Piping Designer within the Oil & Gas industry, with a focus on midstream and downstream projects.
• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly in 3D modeling and detailing of piping systems.
• Strong understanding of piping design principles, materials selection, and industry standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, API 570).
• Experience with piping stress analysis and familiarity with relevant software tools (e.g., Caesar II) preferred.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and other engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and contractors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental considerations applicable to the Oil & Gas industry.
