SOLUTION ARCHITECT

The Solution Architect is responsible for designing and implementing complex software solutions that align with the business goals and technical requirements of the organization. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, analyzing business needs, and ensuring the technical integrity and scalability of the solutions provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design scalable, robust, and efficient software architectures that meet the current and future needs of the organization.
• Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration, feasibility, and scalability.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure that solutions align with the enterprise architecture and standards.
• Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to gather and clarify business requirements.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Identify potential risks and technical challenges, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Ensure that the solution meets security, performance, and reliability standards.
• Create detailed architectural documents, diagrams, and specifications.
• Maintain and update technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies or tools to improve existing systems or solve business challenges.
• Ensure that the final product meets quality standards and complies with technical and business requirements.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience (10 years) working as a Solution Architect or in a similar role within the IT industry.
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
• Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems using cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver successful solutions on time and within budget.
• Utilities project experience is a big plus
