Job Description

About the role The Shop Supervisor is responsible to provide operational support to the Shop Manager in managing shop operations. Also, responsible to keep line manager updated on the forecast and make significant contribution to maximize sales, minimization of stock losses and revenue generated through customer satisfaction and employee engagement. During the absence of Shop Manager, the Shop Supervisor will have oversight of all activities in shop floor and ensuring operations are covered properly. Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
·Communicate all retail information, shop sales targets and monthly promotions to shop team leaders and sales assistant actively and effectively ensuring all staffs are fully aware of the sales target and motivated to drive sales results.
·Coordinate any stock movement from warehouse to shop on daily basis ensuring proper stock rotation, full shelves, and high standards of merchandising at any given time to maximize sales.
·Review weekly expiry report and identify outdated stocks or short stocks well in advance and report to Shop Manager/Duty Manager in order to avoid lost in sales.
·Conduct daily operational checklist at every shift ensuring Retail Standards are followed and maintained by all employees at the shop floor, should any incompliance observed, take required actions for future improvement.
·Regularly conduct price and item check to ensure product display, item price and stock accuracy is maintained.
·Monitor all cash handling operations to ensure full compliance and that all staff conforms to all cash handling security instructions, rules and regulations.
·Report any register (POS) problems and ensure correct administration of customer return products & staff sales. Conduct cash spot checks as per SOP, with log maintained and review with Shop manager every month.
·Coordinate with permit office for customer permit issue, renewal and special permit, in order to accommodate and provide the service on time.
·Assist Shop Manager / Duty manager in delivering staff training, regular conduct spot check on staff product knowledge, if any gap identified, coordinate with Shop manager to plan relevant training to ensure staff are familiar with all products on sale and promotional activities.
·In absence of Shop Manager/Duty Manager, oversight permit office activities in order to accommodate permit enquires or issue from customer.
·In absence of Shop Manager/Duty Manager, perform as Manager on Duty during weekend/public holiday, oversight all activities in warehouse, shop floor and permit office, ensuring operations are covered properly.

The successful candidate will have the following:
·Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
·Minimum 2 years of job-related experience
·Experience in the Retail or Service industry
Job Specific Skills:
·Computer operations, Retail POS and cash handling experience
·Good Command of English language
·Customer Focus, Market Knowledge, Results driven
·Operational knowledge of Retail Environment is important
·Preferred
·Basic knowledge of beverages (alcohol and spirits)
·Retail experience on FMCG (fast moving consumer goods)
