As a Senior Procurement Officer, you will support the procurement & contracts Section in its procurement activities with proper planning in order to achieve the goal in line with AZF policy and procedure in order to ultimately contribute in the education of students to the highest possible standard so that they will become leaders in their community and champions in life.

What will you do - Main responsibilities:


We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated, full-time, Senior Procurement Officer. This is primarily an applied position with a background in Procurement and Contracts, its strategies, policies, procedures and budgeting as well as supplier selection, negotiations, relationship management, goods receipt and storage management, supplier data management, payment approvals and its overall operations management. The candidate must be able to provide analysis, evaluation, and intervention strategies to manage the Procurement and Contracts Activities of the organization.


Here are the Main Responsibilities of an Arabic Teacher:


  • Develop Procurement Practices – Establish internal procurement procedures to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance. 
  • Budget & Financial Performance Monitoring – Track and manage procurement budgets to prevent overspending. 
  •  Manage Procurement Activities – Oversee procurement processes, ensuring end-user needs are met efficiently. 
  • Evaluate Supplier & Procurement Requests – Analyze requests, quotations, and supplier data to select the best vendors. 
  • Liaise with Department Heads – Consult with department heads before processing procurement requests. 
  • Supplier Relationship Management – Maintain good supplier relationships and lead negotiations for better terms. 
  • Conduct Major Negotiations – Facilitate negotiations through committees rather than individuals. 
  • Contract Management – Handle all contract-related tasks, including RFPs, bidding, evaluations, and follow-ups. 
  • Monitor Contract Performance – Track variances in contract execution and take corrective measures. 
  • Ensure Proper Contract Implementation – Oversee contract execution to guarantee quality and timely delivery. 
  • Approve Payments – Verify supplier payments based on agreed terms and conditions. 
  • Manage Goods Receipt & Storage – Coordinate with store and end-users to ensure accurate delivery. 
  • Maintain Supplier Database – Keep an updated supplier list for efficient procurement processing. 
  • Oversee Day-to-Day Procurement Operations – Encourage teamwork, documentation control, and systematic record-keeping. 
  • Coordinate Internal & External Meetings – Arrange vendor and internal meetings as needed. 
  • Ensure Compliance with Policies & Legal Framework – Work with legal, finance, and relevant departments to ensure compliance.  
  • Monitor Service Delivery & Performance – Track vendor performance and ensure timely service delivery. 
  • Ensure Proper Documentation & Reporting – Maintain procurement records, monitor contracts, and submit timely reports.Work with department heads to forecast and plan the organization's workforce needs.

Qualifications and requirements:


  • 5-7 years of related experience of which a minimum of 2-3 years should be in a similar position/responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry.
  • Qatari
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Post graduate studies in the same line of industry is preferrable
  • Proficienct in quality management and procurement strategy
  • Strong understanding of pre/post tendering process 
  • Experienced in Negotiations and Relationship Management, Operations Management and Vendor Management. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Has strong attention to detail.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to persuade and influence suppliers.
  • Excellent collaborative working style.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Team building skills
