Job Description

About the role
In this position you will support the business to optimize its activities by handling cost analysis & reporting, budgeting / forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting and financial business cases. Focus on creating added value in order to improve decision making and streamline processes within technical procurement.
Some of the tasks include: 

Develop financial models and conduct analysis using a broad range of quantitative tools and techniques in order to improve Technical services.
Support procurement activities by providing expert analytical advice on matters relate to spend, and take accountability for quality and timely implementation of deliverables, including implementing outcomes to support the delivery against a defined savings target or other objectives.
Analyze and report actual revenues and costs, prepare root-cause variance analysis report to management on periodic basis (monthly, quarterly and annually) to ensure any requirements either goods or services are being met.
Identify and develop process improvements to meet stakeholder needs, reduce timelines and enhance the operations of technical procurement.
Conduct ad hoc revenue and cost analysis for (senior) management in Procurement for benchmarking and budgeting process.
Identify and develop in conjunction with business KPI's and report them on a regular basis to support the goals of the company and the department.
Partner with the team to ensure that spending is proactively reviewed and negotiated. Ensure financial accounting reporting is in sync with corporate definitions and reports to be aligned with relevant company policy.
Optimize reporting process of route profitability (if applicable), financial accounting and management reporting and advise on areas for improvement.
Review annual submissions in-line with key management strategies/targets which drives measurable business value.
Control spend to ensure cost of sale targets are achieved and recommend measures.
Review business case proposals generating incremental or cost reduction, including CMC submissions.
Review contracts and/or agreements for financial compliance.
Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department

QualificationsAbout you

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
Experience as a financial / cost analyst preferably in the airline industry.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must, as is the ability to work effectively and interact with employees at all levels across the organization.
Strong eye for details and analytical skills with the ability to review variances, analyze and interpret data, understand business cycle and their impact in the profit and loss account.
Excellent command of English language.
Must have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, MS Access and PowerPoint.
Must have excellent organizational ability to be able to set priorities, handle multiple responsibilities / work interruptions and meet deadlines.
Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently with minimal instruction.
