JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Nail Beauty Therapist represents the highest level of expertise within the Raffles Spa Beauty Studio Reverence. This role requires mastery of all manicure and pedicure treatments offered at the studio, combined with strong retail and guest engagement skills.
Senior nail beauty therapist plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the Beauty Studio standards are consistently upheld and in providing foundational training for new team members.
This role involves seamless interaction with guests, from initial consultations to post-treatment product recommendations
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Treatment Execution and Retail Excellence
- Deliver all Beauty Studio Reverence manicure and pedicure treatments with expertise and precision.
- Provide tailored product recommendations to guests, enhancing their experience and promoting retail sales for Reverence de Bastien.
- Uphold and ensure adherence to the highest standards of service quality and treatment protocols.
- Guarantee accurate and professional information is provided by all team members within the studio and across departments.
- Actively promote, present, and explain retail products, ensuring that product sales align with guest needs.
- Maintain an impeccable display of professional and retail products, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and validity dates are consistently monitored.
Team Leadership and Standards Maintenance
- Adhere to the work schedule (rota) and ensure punctuality, readiness, and presence during assigned hours.
- Regularly review and maintain Beauty Studio standards, from treatment room setups to back-of-house displays.
- Exemplify and enforce professional grooming standards among team members, ensuring consistent guest-facing excellence.
- Foster a positive and professional attitude when engaging with guests and colleagues.
- Act as an ambassador for the Beauty Studio Reverence within the hotel, ensuring all colleagues are well-informed about the concept, treatments, and products. Facilitate seamless collaboration between the Beauty Studio and other departments to enhance bookings and promotions.
Financial Awareness and Stock Management
- Monitor daily financial performance, tracking revenue, year-over-year comparisons, and progress toward monthly and yearly targets.
- Conduct daily stock checks for professional and retail products, promptly reporting usage and discrepancies to the Spa Director
- Update and manage the guest database to ensure accuracy and effective communication.
Organization, Communication, and Confidentiality
- Actively contribute to improving the Beauty Studio’s perception among hotel staff and guests through clear communication and thoughtful actions.
- Attend daily team meetings to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Handle all sensitive information with discretion, always maintaining confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or certification in Nail Therapy, Cosmetology, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a luxury spa or salon environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced nail techniques, nail art, gel application, and related beauty treatments.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Additional Skills: Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
