As a Senior Manager for Facility Management Consulting, you will be the resident consultant (on-site project lead) in Doha, Qatar, responsible for coordinating and driving the delivery of FM consulting services for high-profile office tower project. This role requires a strong background in both FM service delivery and consulting, with proven experience managing services within commercial towers and a solid understanding of hard services and soft services, especially security, catering, and soft services. You will act as the primary point of contact for the client on-site, ensuring project deliverables align with client expectations and fostering strong, long-term relationships. Your responsibilities will encompass coordinating with back-office consulting teams, managing project administration, and identifying opportunities for business expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination and Deliverable Management: + Coordinate all project activities on-site, acting as the central point of contact between the client and the back-office consulting teams.
+ Drive the development and delivery of project deliverables by effectively coordinating with task leads and back-office consultants.
+ Contribute to the development of deliverables, taking the initiative to participate in parts or full deliverables, in addition to facilitating for team members the development of deliverables by providing information, data and site surveys.
+ Follow up on the progress of each deliverable, ensuring it adheres to the agreed-upon timelines and quality standards.
+ Ensure all deliverables align with the overall project objectives and meet the client's specific needs and expectations.
Financialand Project Management:
+ Oversee the financial aspects of projects within the portfolio, including budgeting, and forecasting.+ Implement rigorous project management frameworks to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
+ Manage resource allocation effectively, ensuring optimal deployment of personnel and resources for the most efficient execution of projects.
+ Manage billing, job completion reports, and payment follow up with client
On-Site Project Leadership and Management: + Provide strong on-site leadership and direction for the project, ensuring efficient and effective execution.
+ Proactively identify and resolve any on-site challenges or issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
+ Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between all project stakeholders, both internal and external.
+ Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards on-site.
+ Manage on-site logistics and coordination as required.
+ Advise and provide technical input to the client, design teams and the project team on hard services, soft services, security, catering, technology, and other FM services.
+ Provide basic input for property management and operational aspects to client and project team.
+ Advise and provide input on sustainability and energy management aspects related to the operations.
Client Relationship Management and Business Development: + Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for the client, building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders.
+ Coordinate with client representatives for each project task, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
+ Proactively manage client expectations, address feedback, and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
+ Identify and pursue opportunities for business expansion within the existing client relationship and potentially with new clients.
Project Administration and Contract Management: + Oversee all aspects of project administration on-site, including contract management, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
+ Manage project budgets, track expenses, and oversee the invoicing process.
+ Prepare and present regular project status reports to both the client and internal stakeholders.
+ Maintain organized project documentation and records.
+ Manage and chair meetings (weekly, monthly, other) and workshops with client and client consultants/designers/PMO. Record minutes and follow on actions points.
+ Attend and represent the company on project meetings with the client and client consultants/designers/PMO and any other client representatives. Participate actively and provide input and on aspects related to the contracted scope of work.
Experience:
Proven Track Record: 8 to 15 years of experience in facility management, encompassing both service delivery and consulting roles, with a focus on office/commercial towers. Commercial/Offices Tower Expertise: Demonstrated experience in managing FM services within high end commercial towers with VIP customers and tenants. Service Delivery Experience: Strong understanding and practical experience in the delivery of a broad range of FM services including hard services, soft services, security and catering services. Consulting Background: Proven experience in a consulting role within engineering services, management consulting, FM consulting, or as an FM agent. Desirable Service Knowledge: Experience in hard & soft services, security, concierge and catering, is highly desirable. Client Relations: Excellent client relationship management, communication, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field; an MBA is advantageous. Certification: CFM, LEED and WELL certificates are highly advantageous. Consulting Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage complex consulting engagements, coordinate with diverse teams, and drive deliverables to completion. Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills, including planning, coordination, risk management, and stakeholder management. Financial skills: Understanding of project budgets, financial tracking, and manage the invoicing processes. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively. Client Focus: A strong client-centric approach with a focus on understanding and meeting client needs. Location: Must be based in Doha, Qatar, at the client site office.
