Job Description

Job Summary

The Senior Legal Counsel is responsible to assist in determining all commercial legal activities of the Group and to help ensure that they are carried out in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and charters of the companies within the Group. The role assists in assessing, controlling, and determining legal information to all stakeholders (e.g., cases, statutes, and regulations). Giving accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics. Collaborating with management to devise efficient defense strategies. Specifying internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.




Job Responsibilities 1

Contribute to the development of PIH’s vision, mission and strategy and lead the development of the business unit’s strategy ensuring its alignment with the broader objectives of the organization.


Assist in building and leading a motivated, engaged and competent manpower throughout the business unit, by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the business unit’s challenges and goals.


Assist in defining an optimum organization structure for the business unit and direct the development of divisions to ensure efficient and effective utilization of the business unit’s resources.


Provide support and input for the development of the business unit’s manpower plan collaborating with Human Capital to ensure timely and best-of-class delivery of tasks.


Provide direction on the preparation and consolidation of the business unit’s budget in line with PIH’s annual business plan.


Assist in planning general business law issues and managing the legal issues of all areas of the Company, including but not limited to corporate matters, procurement, safety, security, insurance and sustainability issues.


Control the department as required in liaison with the superior.


Determine the (legal) risks connected with or resulting from the business strategy and operations.


Assess the compliance of business operations with relevant laws and regulations.


Ensure that the awareness of business employees for (compliance with) relevant laws and regulations is created and maintained on a effective manner.


Ensure that proper preparation of draft contracts and agreements required for Company activities are done and approve the contracts and agreements.


Ensure that proper preparation and drafting of legal documents (Notices, claim, official forms, etc.) and corporate documents (Board resolutions, shareholders’ assembly, minutes of the meetings, etc. are done in a timely manner.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Advanced expertise in legal principles, regulations, and compliance standards pertinent to the organization's operations.


Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex legal issues and provide strategic counsel.


Strong negotiation and communication abilities to represent the organization in high-stakes negotiations and legal proceedings.


Extensive experience in drafting and reviewing complex legal documents, contracts, and agreements with meticulous attention to detail.


Leadership capabilities to provide guidance, mentorship, and direction to junior legal staff and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.




Job Experience

Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus
