About the role
You are responsible to ensure recovery of benefits from contracts/agreements by implementing the process and raising claims related to service life policy, warranties and guarantees to recuperate benefits in form of credit notes and/or cost savings (i.e. free of charge components or cost waivers) and agreements such as vendors/suppliers product support assurance, Buyer Furnished Equipment / Seller Furnished Equipment purchase agreements, Lease, Commitment letter / Commercial support claims, General Terms Agreement with Aircraft / Engine / Parts Manufacturers, Vendors and Service Providers and related agreements for special systems, structures and components acquired and operated by Qatar Airways and its customers, on lease or ownership basis.
Specific responsibilities for the role include:
• Ensure process implementation for recovery claiming of Service Life Policy, Warranties and Guarantees as per related agreements (Purchase Agreements, Supplier Support Conditions / Product Support Assurance Agreements, In-house Agreements, Propulsion General Terms of Agreements) resulting in recoveries of benefits from the terms and conditions.
• Overseeing Scrutiny and Endorsement of warranties, commitments and industry support factors per agreements, commitment letters, delivery documents and Service Bulletins / Service Implementation Letters / Airworthiness Directives / Credit Notes in Engineering Orders / Engineer Special Work Cards / Component Modification Advices for approval and tracking for recovery.
• Assess Reliability Reports, Work packs and Non-Routine Cards in daily and scheduled maintenance checks of the fleet for possible warranty coverage.
• Providing Scrutiny, endorsement to tracking of agreements on product selection and maintenance of equipment for incentives and support in acquisition of material and services to ensure process implementation for claims recovery.
• Monitor the warranty claims and be the point of escalation and adjudicate on company’s interest for upcoming claiming issues. Carry out direct negotiation with the vendors and repair agencies to ensure that all eligible warranty claims are promptly settled in favour of Qatar Airways.
• Evaluate EO's, ESWC's for industry support and other terms of SB's, SIL's, AD's, AOT's, TFU's, FTD's and Commitment Letters for airframe, engine's, equipment and system to raise required claims against relevant Warranty/ Guarantee agreements.

About you
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline or hold an ICAO e Il License with Minimum 7 years of job-related experience in Technical- Warranty environment.
• Experience working as Warranty Engineer in major airline/MRO environment with detailed knowledge of warranty and guarantee contracts negotiations and administration.
• Extensive knowledge of and working experience with various vendor support contracts such as Product Support Agreements, Supplier Support Conditions.
• Solid understanding of engines and other complex assemblies' maintenance support contracts/agreements.
• Strong negotiating skills
• Supervisory experience
• Good technical knowledge of aircrafts in Qatar Airways fleet.
• Internal: 2 years as EN.02
• Excellent communication skill (speak/read/write) in English.
