Senior Associate-Reconciliation

Job Summary

TO HANDLE THE TRANSACTIONS THROUGH NOSTRO BANK ACCOUNTS ARE PROPERLY RECONCILED AND OUTSTANDING ITEMS ARE FOLLOWED UP EFFICIENTLY.

• Daily Reconciliation of 45+ Nostro Accounts & 7+ Dividend / Sub-Dividend Accounts.
• Ensuring that statement received from the Bank are getting tallied with the GL Balance. 
• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging.
• The issues/exceptions, if any are escalated to the Team Lead/Supervisor/Manager/Stakeholders for immediate action to avoid the risk of Operational/Financial loss.
• The job holder is also responsible to the smooth Operations of the unit and to provide the required support to review/update of SOPs /SLAs and any ad-hoc assignments (including process re-engineering) undertaken by the unit.

Key Accountabilities

• Reconcile unmatched transaction in Nostro & Dividend on daily Basis.
• If found any discrepancies in unmatched transaction has to be reported to the respective Stakeholder.
• Identification of debit transaction and reporting to Stakeholder for clearance.
• Provide Critical Reports followed after Upload of all Statements in CARS such as-
• Dealers Report
• Credit Confirmation Report
• Settlement Report (ATM, Master & Visa)
• Outward clearing Cheque Reports
• Commission Report
• Manager’s Cheque
• Daily Circulation of High Value Report, QCB & FCY MIS to all the Stakeholders within the Bank.
• Prepare Monthly Reports of Bank charges file (corresponding bank charges, Rebates and Nostro charges)
• Resolving queries within the organization as well as liaising with external Bank for investigation.  
• Prepare monthly proof sheets of all related suspense accounts, Draft report and submit to Team leader/Manager.
• Any other tasks which the Team/Manager may assign from time to time depending on work exigencies. Daily basis.
• Ensure no loss due to reconciliation failure and 100 % compliance of all deadlines with total accuracy.
• At least two process improvements, either by automation of process / process simplification by Year end and reduce turnaround of current process.
• Acquire full range of skill of one other desk of Reconciliations Unit.
• Have flair to understand system, performing “UAT” will be preferable.
