Job Description
As a second Commis chef ,you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, chilling, porting while using specifications given to you by the supervisor. In this role you will ensure that all meals are cooked and handled in accordance to airline specifications. You will have to assist the main Chef and other Chefs and Cooks in the kitchen in a fast manner.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare food in a fast and efficient manner.
- Assist the colleagues in their section to handle the equipment and food materials in a proper way to avoid damage and misuse.
- Follow instructions of seniors to help in smooth operation in the daily shift activities.
- Follow HACCP hygiene and quality standards and ensure proper documentation is done for the all produced meals.
- Assist the supervisor to follow FIFO (First IN First OUT) for food handling such as raw materials and processed food at all times.
- Ensure that all meals are produced according to the flight load given and tag with clear name and day code for easy handling.
- To prepare, bake and serve food delegated as your responsibility, ensuring that the highest possible quality is maintained and that agreed standards for food preparation and presentation are met at all times under guidance.
- To monitor the raw materials requirements and usage used by his section during his shift.

Qualifications
In order to be successful in this role, we are looking for the candidates with a high school degree and 2 years of job related experience.
Preferred
- Basic Food hygiene & HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) skills.
- Basic food Cooking Technique.
- Reading & Writing Skills
