Job Description

The SCADA Operator plays a crucial role in the water and wastewater treatment industry, particularly in monitoring and controlling the operations of SCADA systems. This position requires a keen understanding of automated systems and the ability to ensure that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. The SCADA Operator is responsible for overseeing the functionality of various equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and providing timely responses to any operational issues that may arise. With a minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 7 years of experience required, candidates must possess a strong technical background and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and control SCADA systems to ensure optimal performance.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment and systems.
  3. Respond promptly to alarms and system alerts, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  4. Document operational data and prepare reports for management review.
  5. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement system upgrades.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during operations.
  7. Train and mentor junior staff on SCADA operations and best practices.
  8. Participate in emergency response drills and safety meetings.
  9. Analyze system performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  10. Assist in the development of standard operating procedures for SCADA operations.
