Job Description Summary
This role will be in charge to build database and display and test the various software parts of a SCADA/EMS and DMS project based on GE/Alstom Grid eterra platform or eterra distribution product including:
- Standard eterra components (real-time data base management system, User Interface framework, Front-end data acquisition, SCADA data processing, Historical data management, Configuration tools),
- On the shelf Third party products (Windows & Linux based),
- Software development on top of the Software product Database & Displays deliveries.
- Point to point tests
The role manages day to day interaction with Clients/consultants/contractors & operators in order to facilitate commissioning, SAT, closure of snag points, SR’s and other small project related points under the testing, perform design support as & when required.
Job Description
S/S commissioning activities
Co-ordinate with Design, PMs, telecom teams, substation teams for the commissioning of new /existing extensions substations. Maintain up to date the Work Verification Report (WVR) of all the projects. Timely closure of Substation snag list & co-ordinate with TL, PMs for closing of S/S contractor end snags Maintain E2E test reports, Red mark-ups & other required As-builts Co-ordinate with Power Plant, Substation vendors for data collection to support site operations.
Control Centre activities
Schedule database & display preparation under various projects & ensure the completion as per the agreed schedule. Build databases and Displays for electrical substations using GE modelling tools Update the documents and other required applications required to ensure no delays of commissioning activities. Follow the SCADA site guide. Provide daily/weekly reports as requested by TL.
Customer Relationship
Provide Customer care. Respond promptly to Customer needs, calls, meet commitments, Ensure customer satisfaction
Support
Report problems reported by Customer. Clarify conflictive technical situations under the responsible area of testing. Provide on demand technical support
Risk and Safety
To ensure risk prevention & safety compliance as per EHS Coordination with Vendors and Sub-contractor Effective coordination to ensure smooth closure of snags & punch points for various projects
Educational Requirements
Electrical/Electronic/Computer/ Instrumentation or similar engineering degree
