Job Description
The Sales Manager – Credit Cards is responsible for driving credit card sales through direct sales teams, channel partners, and other banking verticals. The role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, achieving targets, managing a team, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve credit card acquisition targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and alliances.
- Manage relationships with channel partners, DSAs, and direct sales teams.
- Conduct regular market analysis and competitor benchmarking.
- Drive cross-selling of credit cards to existing bank customers.
Team Management & Leadership
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales agents.
- Set performance goals, track progress, and motivate the team.
- Conduct regular sales training, coaching, and performance reviews.
Customer Engagement & Experience
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through seamless onboarding and service.
- Address customer grievances and escalations efficiently.
- Promote responsible selling practices and ethical banking.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Achievement of monthly and annual credit card sales targets.
- Growth in customer base and portfolio value.
- Productivity and performance of the sales team.
- Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution metrics.
Skills
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) in Business or a related field.
- 8+ years of sales experience in banking, financial services, or credit card industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record in sales target achievement.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance for credit cards.
