Job Description

Job Summary

The Sales Engineer is responsible to bridge the gap between technical expertise and salesmanship. The role is responsible for promoting and selling complex technical products or services to clients by providing technical knowledge, solutions, and support throughout the sales process to help clients make informed purchasing decisions.




Job Responsibilities 1

Engage with clients to understand their needs, challenges, and technical requirements.


Demonstrate how the products or services can meet the client's needs and solve their problems.


Design customized solutions based on client requirements, utilizing the capabilities of the products or services.


Provide expert advice and recommendations to clients, helping them understand how the products or services align with their objectives.


Collaborate with the sales team to create detailed proposals that outline the technical aspects of the solution, including specifications, costs, and benefits.


Train clients on how to use and implement the products or services effectively.


Offer post-sales technical support, addressing any technical questions or issues that arise.


Coordinate with technical teams to customize and integrate products to fit the client's specific needs.


Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction.


Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to position products effectively.




Job Responsibilities 2

Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and technical teams to ensure a cohesive approach in presenting solutions to clients.


Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits to potential clients.


Assist in negotiations, answering technical queries, and finding middle ground to close deals.


Create technical documentation, such as manuals and guides, to assist clients with product implementation.


Provide valuable feedback to product development teams based on client interactions and market insights.


Support the sales team by providing technical insights and collaborating on sales strategies.


Educate clients on industry trends, best practices, and how products can help them stay competitive.


Troubleshoot technical issues, finding solutions to challenges clients might encounter.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in understanding and explaining complex technical products or services to clients.


In-depth knowledge of the features, functionalities, and applications of the products or services you're selling.


Ability to analyze client needs and challenges and offer tailored technical solutions.


Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.


ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.




Job Experience

Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
