The Rooms Division Manager in hotel operations is responsible to oversee and manage all aspects of the rooms division, which includes front office, housekeeping, reservations, and guest services. Supervise and coordinate the operations of the front office, housekeeping, reservations, and guest services departments to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the rooms division.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and service quality throughout the hotel.
Monitor room availability, occupancy rates, and revenue performance, adjusting strategies and tactics as needed to optimize room revenue and occupancy levels.
Train, mentor, and motivate departmental managers and staff, providing guidance, support, and resources to ensure they meet performance targets and uphold hotel standards.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and distribution channels to maximize room sales and revenue.
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests, resolving issues promptly and professionally to ensure a positive guest experience.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with brand standards and regulations.
Manage room inventory and distribution channels, including online travel agencies (OTAs) and global distribution systems (GDS), to optimize room sales and maximize revenue.
Analyze performance metrics and financial reports related to room revenue, occupancy, and departmental expenses, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in hotel operations and hospitality management, incorporating innovative ideas and strategies into the rooms division operation.
Comprehensive understanding of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, reservations, and guest services, to effectively oversee the rooms division.
