Job Description

The Quantity Surveyor / Estimator will be responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of projects involving glass and aluminum systems. This includes preparing accurate estimates for projects, managing budgets, and ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining project quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and estimation specific to glass and aluminum , as well as excellent negotiation and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for façade glass and aluminum projects, including material, labor, and installation costs.
  • Tender Preparation: Assist in the preparation of tenders, bids, and quotations, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all documentation.
  • Cost Management: Monitor project costs throughout all phases of the project to ensure alignment with the approved budget.
  • Quantity Take-Offs: Perform quantity take-offs for materials such as glass, aluminum frames, brackets, sealants, and other -related components.
  • Vendor Management: Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, negotiate prices, and evaluate cost comparisons to support project goals.
  • Risk Analysis: Identify potential risks in the project’s cost estimates and provide recommendations for cost control and risk mitigation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and suppliers to ensure clear communication of project requirements and budgets.
  • Document Control: Maintain up-to-date records of all project estimates, variations, and cost reports.
  • Project Reporting: Prepare and present cost and financial reports to management and other stakeholders.
