Job Description
The Quality
Assurance Team Leader is responsible to the Quality Manager for leading a team
to provide assurance against the appropriate regulatory, statutory and business
requirements.
The post
will be established in the Qatar Project Team at a suitable time to work in
association with the Quality Manager to develop and maintain the Qatar Quality Management
System. The post will also be responsible for establishing and managing assurance
program which demonstratescompliance
and conformance to the Regulatory Framework. (Part 145, Part M and
WOME)
The
role holder may be required to carry out additional or alternative tasks from time to time,
subject to holding the appropriate qualifications.
Core Activity- Assuring compliance with appropriate
expositions, standards and associated procedures. (Part 145, Part M & WOME)
- Implementing Assurance management across the QEAF Typhoon
Maintenance and Continuing Airworthiness platforms and support managers in
understanding the practical applications of regulatory material, through
effective identification of compliance, conformance and non-conformance.
- Promoting a positive
assurance culture across the organisation
- Prioritising
activities within/across teams to maximise efficiency.
- Representing
the Quality Manager at management reviews, where necessary.
- Responsibility
for the assessment and escalation of critical issues which may impact Airworthiness
or Safety
- Assisting in providing
as required assurance and oversight to the aircraft Ferry and acceptance
activities of deliverables from BAE Systems Air.
- Responsibility for the
leadership of the Assurance Team members
- Acting as primary contact for Quality Assurance related activities and
provide appropriate Support & Liaison to the QEAF customer
- Conducting audits in line the Quality Assurance Program
- Compiling audit
reports, highlighting any issues for escalation including the status of
non-conformance to promote timely closure.
- Provide
assurance for Typhoon Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness Management
Activities
- Provide
support to NCR owners/stakeholders with regards to Root Cause Analysis. Ensure
effective RCA is implemented for NCR’s
- Ensuring the
integration key stakeholders at all stages during assurance activities
- Ensuring
Process Confirmations and independent assurance audits are supported by
stakeholders
- Managing the
response to audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner and provide
information into the relevant reviews.
- Generating
and implementing effective improvements to overcome any audit non-compliance
and monitor effectiveness
- When
requested provide Quality & Assurance support/guidance to all teams within
the Typhoon Maintenance Organisation
- Support the
stand up of new capability through the Capability audit and FMV process.
- Support
external audits from M&CA, maintain effective comms and ensure external
NCR’s are managed effectively
- Supporting
ESR responsibilities and assurance activities for Explosive Safety
- Ensure all
external quality faults are effectively managed via the QOR process. Maintain
engagement with the UK Typhoon in-service Support Quality Team
- Control and management of Quality Data with
effective trend analysis
Key Accountabilities- Performance
indicators – Assure compliance to the QEAF Typhonn Regulatory Framework. Support
Assurance activities by meeting delivery targets and reporting any impact on
safety, conformance and compliance.
- Completion of activities – Ensure all Assurance activities
are appropriately documented and the appropriate records are maintained on
relevant systems (IT / paper based). Compile required reporting, identify any
issues and escalate as appropriate.
- Procedure/standards – Comply with the Customers Regulatory Framework and any other Company procedures
and standards, as applicable. Identify and propose changes, as required.
- Management System Assurance – Assurance activities are
compliant with the Customers Regulatory
Framework (Part M, Part 145 & WOME), including
supporting Process Confirmations and independent assurance audits. Support the
response to audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner and provide
information to support the relevant reviews. Support the implementation of
identified improvements to overcome any non-compliance and monitor
effectiveness.
- Statutory/Regulatory & Legislative requirements – Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding and application of
the relevant Regulatory framework. Support the implementation of any
Regulatory-driven changes into the Aircraft Maintenance Organisation and
Support Assurance activities. Ensure compliance with all other requirements and
complete all company mandated training.
- Contractual
Requirements – Ensure compliance with applicable contractual requirements, e.g. through
support to contract reviews and the incorporation of required changes into
Aircraft Maintenance and Support Assurance processes.
Requirements- Recognised assurance/lead auditor
qualification, complimented with vocational experience acceptable to the
approving competent authority.
- Working knowledge of appropriate
regulatory requirements, including their interaction and application.
- Ability to maintain independence from
areas to be assured.
- Ability to support a continuous
improvement culture underpinned by appropriate management reporting systems and
escalation processes.
- Analytical thinker with strong detail
orientation and experience in root cause analysis.
- Ability to analyse & interpret data
trends and understand the impact potential of cumulative risk.
- Understanding and application of
current IT systems used for assurance and Team Management activities.
- Full understanding of Maintenance and
Training Regulations.
