Job Description

We are looking for a Project Senior Marine Supervisor for one of our clients with the following details: 


Start date: 01-APR-2025


End Date: 31-MAR-2027


Location: Doha 


Work status: Resident, Single


ACTIVITIES


HSE


  • Install an Incident Free environment through establishing and maintaining a strong safety culture.
  • Ensure all activities carried out under the supervision of the role comply with the companies HSE policy.
  • Propose, implement, and monitor strategies and technology to support the companies GHG reduction targets.
  • Support marine Incident Investigations and reporting processes, ensuing identification of root causes and capturing of lessons learned.
  • Facilitate the delivery of IF+ induction sessions onboard watercraft supporting Major Project activity

 Financial


  • Support the Marine Project Lead in budget management and forecasting to maintain expenditure within approved business plans.
  • Install a cost focus culture to ensure sustainable value is delivered.
  • Promote the improvement of cost efficiency within the area of responsibility.

 Operations


  • Support the N+2 with contractor performance management to ensure both procedural and contractual compliance & auditable trail is maintained.
  • Support the application of a robust marine vetting, assurance, and approval program, ensuring all watercraft and crew mobilised in support of Major Projects activity meet and maintain full compliance with international codes, classification society, flag state, local regulations, and company procedures.
  • Ensure CMS rules, standards, policies, and guidelines covering marine crew and watercraft are in place, applied and monitored in accordance with international regulations and standards, classification society, flag state, local regulations, and company procedures.
  • Plan, coordinate and support vessel on hire and routine inspections, ensuring compliance with all company rules, standards, and processes.
  • Contribute to the effective monitoring, documenting and close out of audit and investigation findings against chartered watercraft, ensuring full procedural and contractual compliance.
  • Issue and maintain all vessel final acceptance documents (Field Entry Permits) ensuring validity and access to key stakeholders.
  • Maintain the departments share file for all vessel supporting Major Projects activity, ensuring key stakeholders are provided with access to relevant CMS documents, safety alerts and key information required to ensure safe operations.
  • Coordinate and support Marine Logistics with relevant operational navigation warnings via MENAS to ensure the safety and security of navigation with Al Shaheen field.
  • Responsible for implementing and documenting the marine rank approval process and database, ensuring all marine crew are subject to review and formal approval issued.
  • Ownership and responsibility for the Major Projects marine activity dashboard, ensuring accurate and up to date information is available to the dept and key stakeholders at all times.
  • Provide weekly updates to N+1 on HSE, Highlights, Concerns and lookahead

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE


  • Postgraduate degree
  • Basic STCW training certification and advantage on having any Crewing certification training or experience.
  • 4+ years of Marine related services with 2+ years at a senior level in crewing operation & Vessel mobilization.
  • Basic knowledge of marine operations in support of offshore oil and gas field development activity
  • In depth knowledge and understating of international maritime regulations, standards, and codes
  • In depth knowledge in delivering and monitoring marine assurance and competency processes.
  • Knowledge on the watercraft mobilization process.
  • Strong experience in working for Oil majors.
  • Exposure in tendering process.
  • Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical):
    • Capable of supporting multi-tasking activities against defined deadlines
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite of software
    • Fluent in written and spoken English
    • Good analytical, organization, coordination and planning skills
    • Highly proactive with excellent communication and prioritization skills
    • Ability to work autonomously on own initiative as well as part of a team
