About the role


You will be responsible for overseeing the support for all Amadeus Altea suite of applications. Your responsibility will be to act as the IT SME and POC for Amadeus engagement for all IT and Business teams in Qatar Airways. It is your duty to ensure that the Amadeus Altea suite of applications used by Qatar Airways are running smoothly. The task involves managing incidents and problems, escalating critical and business-impacting incidents, and providing technical and functional support to end-users. Your role involves coordinating investigations and following up on them, as well as helping to resolve issues according to defined SLAs. Stability, availability, and efficient operation of Amadeus business and IT applications must be ensured.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Manage and help resolve application-related incidents and problems. This involves analyzing issues, coordinating with relevant teams, and ensuring timely resolution to minimize impact on business operations.
  • Oversees the entire application support function, ensuring that all applications are properly maintained, supported, and meet service level agreements 
  • Collaborates with other IT teams, such as Digital, Ground services, Commercial & IT, to manage and implement changes to applications. This involves coordinating Change Management process including reviewing the Change Proposals and Requests, testing and deployment activities, and ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Deployment and managing Service management processes plus best practices.
  • Manage the incident, change management effectively, and highlight if any critical risks associated and support go-live activities.
  • Provide timely updates to all stake holders on Incident resolutions progress, incident reports and share post incident Root Cause Analysis 
Qualifications

About You


  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent with minimum 10years of Airline/IT industry experience of which 5 years as Application support lead
  • Knowledge of end-to-end Airline commercial/operational applications flows and processes
  • Knowledge of Amadeus Altea Service Delivery processes, starting from requirements phase until delivery, Application support processes will be of added advantage.
  • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) certified demonstrating knowledge of framework for IT service management is considered a plus
  • A strong technical/functional background and proficiency in various aspects of Amadeus applications are essential
  • Ability to work in dynamic and challenging environment and support to manage multiple parallel complex initiatives as Project lead
