Job Description

Overview:

The Control Manager for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) Onshore Projects is responsible for comprehensive planning, scheduling, cost control, and management of offshore construction projects. This role ensures that projects are executed within scope, time, and budget constraints, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Manage the Planning Engineers and Planners to support efficient project execution and report all aspects of project status to project managers and Corporate Manager (Planning and Costing).

Briefing of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish, develop, and maintain a well-established, efficient Project control’s organizational structure.
  • Establish and maintain a level IV resource loaded schedule in Primavera covering all the activities of the project.
  • Provide and maintain Look ahead plans, recovery plans as per project requirement.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain a well-established, efficient systems and procedures and processes to capture and record all events in a timely manner.
  • Maintain Quantity (BOQ) for the project scope.
  • Publish Client and Qcon project progress report and cost report as per the established schedule.
  • Direct and guide the project management team in terms of progress and cost.
  • Establish cost structure and monitor the cost through appropriate mechanisms such as activity-based costing.
  • Establish discipline-wise productivity monetary system.
  • Have thorough understanding of the contract and scope and instigate variation orders, contractual letters, notifications to contracts department as applicable.
  • Focused on the needs of the customer/client and strive to meet their expectations.
  • Establish and maintain the Risk and Opportunity register and cascade the impacts to the project management team as applicable and maintain proactive plans for risk events.
  • Generate cash flows for the job and present to estimation a positive cash flow.
