Job Description
Mission/Core of Purpose of the Job:
Overseeing and managing the financial and scheduling aspects of our projects. Being responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
General
- Developing comprehensive project schedules, integrating all critical milestones, and ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
- Monitoring project progress against the schedule, identifying potential delays and working with teams to implement recovery plans.
- Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure schedules are realistic and achievable
Standards
- Ensuring all project documentation is maintained accurately and is easily accessible, following company standards and procedures.
- Identifying opportunities for improving project control processes, implementing best practices that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Leading post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and integrate them into future project planning and execution.
Commercial
- Collaborating with project teams to establish detailed budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives and financial constraints.
- Continuously monitoring and analyze project costs, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track financially.
- Preparing detailed financial reports, including forecasts, cash flow projections, and cost-to-complete analyses, providing insights to stakeholders.
Technical
- Identifying potential risks to project timelines, budgets, and scope, developing robust mitigation strategies.
- Conducting regular risk assessments, updating project plans to address emerging risks.
- Establishing contingency plans for critical project phases, ensuring preparedness for unforeseen challenges.
Technology:
- Using project management software to manage project schedules, budgets, and reporting tasks.
- Utilizing advanced tools, such as MS Excel, for financial analysis and cost management.
Training and Performance Review:
- Assess the project team’s needs for training in project controls processes and tools, and coordinate with HR to arrange relevant training sessions.
- Periodically reviewing the performance of project team members concerning project controls tasks and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Mandatory: BSc Engineering
- Experience: 5y-7y
- Training: Recommended: MS Project,
