We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC Doha, Qatar for a

Production Technician

Job Purpose:

To optimize production downtime when executing maintenance activities contributing to the development and review of risk assessments.

Your main duties will be to: -

Assist the Production Supervisor in safe delivery of core business through active management of
production tasks and core operational activities.
Act as a Permit Authority to ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the Permit to Work
process and company requirements.
Provide the Production Supervisor with analysis and comment on production volumes, opportunities and
risks in order to improve business performance.
Provide visible leadership to personnel to ensure production targets are met and production / reinjection
volumes are maximized.
Promote NOC core values by being a safety role model, showing trust, respect and commitment,
fostering collaboration across the organization.
Promote cost consciousness in order to embed a strong cost culture.
Drive an incident free environment by establishing and maintaining a strong incident free culture.
Actively participates in and promotes company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures,
that ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times.
Ensure compliance with Operating Procedures and Guidelines to ensure Process Safety, Operational
Safety and Plant Integrity.
Conduct chemical stock checks and ensure chemical injections are optimised.
Isolate and make safe equipment for maintenance.

Ideally, you will have graduated with minimum Higher Secondary School Education plus a three-year technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent).

Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years offshore level on-field equipment in diversified oil & gas processing or petrochemical plants.

You are fluent in English with both written and verbal communication

You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Profile

Education: High School Diploma / Technical certificate in Discipline.
Industry Experience: Minimum 4 years recent experience in the petrochemical, refining, oil /gas
exploration and/or production industries in a similar rôle.
