The opportunity
We are looking to recruit a well-qualified, enthusiastic and experienced Primary Head of PE to lead a successful & exceptional team of practitioners. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a busy Primary Department, for instilling a passion for PE in students, monitoring and evaluating student achievement, as well as contributing to accomplishing the College’s vision and mission.
The Doha College PE Department enjoys an outstanding reputation, has state of the art facilities that reflect our ongoing commitment to the pursuit of excellence in A’Level PE, GCSE PE, KS4/3 Curriculum PE, international tournaments, regional fixtures and tournaments and a wide range of extracurricular sport.
About you
The successful candidate will be a professional, who understands the holistic rewards of the subject, and above all else, has a genuine passion for all aspects of the role. You should demonstrate excellent subject knowledge, a proven track-record of achieving success for your students, with a willingness to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision, including extra-curricular activities and international, regional tournaments.
As a leader, you will foster a culture that is centred around commitment, enthusiasm and cooperation whilst ensuring the core values of Doha College permeate all aspects of sport and PE at the school. You will lead best practice in the physical exercise and sporting activities across the school, as well as contribute to the school’s ongoing strategic development. To be successful, you will be an outstanding role model within the PE Department, with significant experience across all ages and lead on whole school swimming.
We are a British international school, and all of our lessons are taught in English. A high standard of written and spoken English is, therefore, essential. Applicants should be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision, including co-curricular activities.
