Job Description
Role Purpose:
The physiotherapist- RAMAL is fully committed role to assessment and analysis. The core job responsibility is to coordinate and execute physical testing in accordance with the Riadh Assessment and Movement Analysis (RAMAL) testing protocol for both male and female individuals utilizing specialized equipment such as isokinetic dynamometry, 3D optical motion capture, instrumented treadmill, IMUs, EMG and force platforms.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:
- Apply clinical reasoning skills during individual patient assessments.
- Ensure high-quality data collection and management (verify accuracy; ensure integrity, security of data).
- Maintain comprehensive patient documentation, records, and accurate statistical information reflecting the care provided and meeting professional standards.
- Participate in all aspects of clinical, movement, and strength assessments, from preparing patients for data collection to contributing to the production of research outputs.
- Contribute to the development of assessment protocols and actively participate in protocol reviews to support evidence-based practice.
- Uphold a proficient standard of ethical and professional behavior when treating and interacting with patients.
- Participate in the departmental personal development and performance review system to enhance personal and service development.
- Work collaboratively within a team to ensure effective communication and delivery of care.
- Communicate and recommend actions to relevant disciplines to maximize patient care and encourage multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Independently utilize Cerner for charting.
- Implement and adhere to departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with standards and guidelines.
- Assume or accept any other responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor.
- Attending and successfully completing competencies which focus on patient safety initiatives implemented. Patient Safety Training is an annual requirement, to include all organizational leaders, staff, service, and contracted providers.
Necessary knowledge and Experience to be able to do the job:
Minimum of 6-8 years of Orthopaedic facility experience or should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry.
Education and Certification requirements:
- Master’s degree in sports, biomedical or biological science - or a related scientific discipline - with a demonstrable interest in clinical/sports biomechanics.
- Bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy or equivalent is a must.
- Registered with home country Physiotherapy Association. Fulfill all medical licensing requirements.
- Sports physiotherapy background would be advantageous.
