We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Qatar LLC 



Operation Engineer (Power)



 Primary Purpose of the Job



Operation of high voltage electrical system for SOLAR PLANTS.



Principal Accountabilities



a) Switching Operations: Responsible for high voltage switching operations for 220 KV and 33 KV for SOLAR Plants in coordination with Kahramaa.



b) Planning & Scheduling: Support Maintenance Supervisor(power) to Plan and schedule all preventive and corrective maintenance works in line with asset management policy and strategy. Create work orders in SAP and arrange required materials and logistics to execute the work.



c) Technical Support: Ensure all Technicians reporting to this position shall have required competence and provide technical support and guidance as required.



d) Scopes of Services: Prepare scopes of work, specifications, basic drawings, and bills of quantities for contracting.



e) HSE: Manage start of shift meetings, toolbox talks and ensure all risk assessments, permits to work, JHAs, electrical authorization, and LOTO have been completed before authorizing start of work.



f) Work Execution: Supervise Technicians executing work on site and ensure timely and efficient execution of assigned work orders.



g) Close-outs: Verify completion of work orders and update SAP with details of materials consumed and actual work hours taken to complete job.



h) Trouble Shooting: Undertake trouble shooting for the assigned area and also support Reliability Engineer in conducting root cause analysis and FMEA etc.



i) Contracts Administration: Administer maintenance contracts by creating Release Orders and Service Entry Sheets in a timely manner; manage day to day relationship with contractor's manager/supervisor.



j) Commissioning and Handover: Participate in commissioning and handover of new equipment including verifying project dossiers, as-built drawings, maintenance manuals and vendor lists; administer warranties.



k) Kahramaa Technical Interface: Manage day to day interface with Kahramaa with respect to system interruptions.



I) Kahramaa Billing: Monitor the power export and import between plant and Kahrmaa and lead the invoicing process on monthly basis.




Profile

·Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from an internationally recognised university or equivalent



· Professional association in the related Engineering institution/society preferred.



· At least 10-12 years' related work experience.



· The position shall have experience in 220 KV GIS system



· Strong working knowledge of electrical engineering/technical practices related to power transmission and distribution systems.



You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
